Tucker PathSubject: document() and relative path in included xsl
Author: Tucker Path
Date: 17 Feb 2005 06:46 PM
Attached is a zip file with the following structure.
(assume it's extracted to c:\TEMP)

C:\TEMP\test
| xsl.xsl
|
+---xml
| src.xml
| test1.xml
| test2.xml
|
+---inc
inc.xsl

xsl.xsl includes inc.xsl.
inc.xsl uses document() function to access XML files.

Open xsl.xsl and run 'scenario1' using the built-in processor, and it fails.

| Encountered an I/O error in URL "file:///c:/TEMP/xml/test2.xml":
| c:\TEMP\xml\test2.xml contains an invalid path.

Looks like the relative path is resolved based on xsl.xsl instead of inc.xsl.

This does not happen on the other processors shipped with Stylus Studio.
Which behavior is correct, the built-in processor or the others?

Regards,

Unknowntest.zip

Minollo I.Subject: document() and relative path in included xsl

There is clearly a problem which is related to the handling of the second "document('')" argument used in the call to "document( '../xml/test2.xml', document( '' ) )".

We are investigating; in the meanwhile, removing the second document('') argument will solve this specific issue.

Thanks,
Minollo
