Andi,

Just to be on the safe side are you able to replicate what is
described in the tutorial?
http://www.stylusstudio.com/videos/wscc.wmv

Is the web service you are using available to us to try?

Could you send the instructions to invoke the service to
stylus-field-report@progress.com?

Ivan

Ivan,

trying to call the offical google service for example. Can follow instructions until the request is sent. The preview window opens on the bottom- but all fields are inactive, the 'Play' control inactive, everything... Nothing to click? Could send a screenshot, but it doesn't say much...

Thanks for your support,
Andi

I'm behind a proxy here- might that be an issue?

Thanks,
Andreas

Andy,

Depending on how the proxy is configured it could be an issue.
Stylus relies on the Internet Explorer proxy settings.

please check under

Control Panel ->
Internet Options ->
Connections ->
LAN Settings ->
Proxy Server

Hope this helps
Ivan

yes, configured like that: proxy.client.net:81. HTTP Sniffer seems to indicate that request is not sent, not even to proxy. Don't believe that the proxy is the entire issue, as SS was well able to load the WSDL and can access the UDDI repositories...

Any logfile or something I could spool?

Thank You

I am puzzled, the tab in the Preview window is not even created.

What Stylus Studio build are you running?

What do you see in the Scenario Properties ("..." toolbar button)?

If you have a Java Virtual Machine installed in your system
could you try the Axis client?
click the "..." in the toolbar and choose Apache Axis

If you have .NET Framework installed in your system
could you try the .net client?

Thanks for your patience
Ivan

Indeed, MS SOAP 3.0 is selected, running latest version, just upgraded to 'g', same behaviour.

Changed to either .NET or Axis and both are working! Only now I'm at the end of eval period :(

If you need further help diagnosing the MS SOAP issue, let me know.

Cheers,
Andi
