PRAKASH PURSWANISubject: Conversion of Position based Flat File to XML
Author: PRAKASH PURSWANI
Date: 02 Nov 2004 06:45 PM
Hi,

Can someone tell me if there is any way to convert the position based flat file to xml using the new feature of "Convert-to-xml" utility as mentioned in the advantages of the new Stylus Studio v6.0

Convert to XML -- A powerful new utility that allows you to easily convert any data source -- flat files, binary data, EDI, and any other format -- into XML. Convert to XML includes full integration with Stylus Studio's XML adapter framework, enabling users to seamlessly configure non-relational files as data sources for use with Stylus Studio's visual XML mapping tools for XSLT and XQuery.

If yes, how?

Thanks,
Prakash.

I'm not quite sure what you are asking. The "Convert to XML" feature
will handle both delimited (such as comma-separated-value files) and
also fixed-field-width files. If you have a sample of the data you are
interesting in converting, you could attach it and it would serve as a
more concrete example.
