Peter LarbalestierSubject: XSLT SenseX - Can't use "END" button
Author: Peter Larbalestier
Date: 09 Aug 2004 06:21 PM
Refer attached document

1. I have tested this in VB .NET

2. As can be seen in the attached jpg I wanted to move my cursor to the
end of the attribute by pressing the "end" key.

Once at the end I would have finished typing the word "choose" which
I had already started.

I couldn't !

I had to click with my mouse.

Please fix.

As I prefer to use the keyboard rather than the mouse.

3. To repeat

Type is "<xsl:ch" move cursor back a couple of places and try and press
"end" key

Up, Down, Home and End navigate within the Sense:X selection box.
To dismiss the box so that you can use the End key to get to the
end of what you are typing, press Esc first.

having to press the Esc key is really bad and not a standard

Peter,

From the "Microsoft Official Guidelines for User Interface Developers and Designers"

<<"Use the ESC key to stop a function in process or to cancel a direct manipulation operation. It is also usually interpreted as the shortcut key for a Cancel button.">>

I was talking in regards to intellisense and how it works in other
apps such as VB.NET, VBA etc.

I just didn't see the sense that in Stylus I must remember to press the
ESC key.

Again, please test my scenaio and you will see what I mean against VB
Intellisense Vs XSense as I did.

Pete
