Stylus Studio® 3rd Party Add-on Component Downloads

The following optional 3rd party XML components can be used in conjunction with Stylus Studio®.

DataDirect SequeLink Server

DataDirect SequeLink Server can be used in conjunction with Stylus Studio®'s DB-to-XML Editor to create an XML data source for a database that is not already supported by Stylus Studio®. (SQL Server, Oracle, IBM DB/2, Sybase and Informix are already supported by Stylus Studio® and thus does not require installation of the DataDirect SequeLink Server.) You need only to install the SequeLink Server; the SequeLink Client is installed automatically, as part of the Stylus Studio® installation.

The installation executables and user documentation for DataDirect SequeLink Server is available in two places:

  • As a Stylus Studio® download (24.3MB). This link downloads a self-extracting file to your computer. When you run the file, it unpacks the installation setup.exe file and user documentation for DataDirect SequeLink Server to the location you specify.
  • In the \DataDirect\SequeLinkServer5.4. directory on the Stylus Studio® installation CD-ROM. This directory contains the setup.exe you use to install DataDirect SequeLink Server, and a portal page, index.htm, for the DataDirect SequeLink Server user documentation.

DataDirect XQuery

An embeddable software product based on the XQuery and XQJ standards that enables Java developers to access both relational and XML data sources using a single XQuery query. IBM AlphaWorks XML Schema Quality Checker

IBM's alphaWorks has produced an XML Schema processing component called the XML Schema Quality Checker, which checks validates XML schemas according to the rules defined in any XML Schema data model, and also the style and quality of the underlying XML schema document. For example, it will check all of the enumerated values of an element or type, and make sure they all fit within a given length facet, etc.
