To assist in running the dedicated section efficiently, whilst maintaining standards at the highest level as required by the company.

MAIN DUTIES


1. To have good knowledge of all dishes served from the kitchen.

2. To ensure the correct preparation, cooking and presentation of food in their section to the highest standards.

3. To ensure the smooth running of service by forward planning.

4. To maintain a high standard of hygiene both personally and in your working area as well as working practices.

5. To contribute to the overall aims and direction of the department within the hotel goals.

6. To understand the legal requirements for all acts in relationship to liquor licensing, weights and measures, trade descriptions and Health & Safety.

7. To attend all relevant meeting, contribute with attention to passing information to the correct people.

8. To attend all fire, health and safety at work training.

9. To comply with all companies operating policy including environmental issues.

10. To adhere to the food hygiene regulations, as detailed in the food handlers declaration and attend all courses.

11. Carry out all duties in a safe manner having regard for the health and safety and welfare of yourself, other members of staff, guests and any other person on the hotel premises.

12. Understand and comply with the company's policy on Health and Safety at work, fire procedures and environmental and to be familiar with first aid procedures.
