I'm being told that SS Pro & Ent X15r1 have a dependency/pre-requisite of for Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable 8.0.61001 before the applications can be used.

I don't find this as a requirement listed on this page:
http://www.stylusstudio.com/xml_download.html

Is Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable 8.0.61001, or any other version, a requirement for using X15r1?

Hi Lance,

The Stylus Studio Installer does install the C++ run-time when necessary.

Few users encountered a condition in which the installer could not install the run-time automatically.
Running the Microsoft installer manually solved their problem
http://download.stylusstudio.com/stylusstudio/downloads/vcredist_x86.exe
