I have xml generated from a vendors product that is showing errors for FATAL ERROR: invalid character 0x1F in attribute value 'name' ; What options do I have to deal with this? Getting response from the vendor may take awhile.

Hi Bill,

Unfortunately the document cannot be parsed as XML because because of the invalid character.

If you have to automate the process you could use a generic search/replace tool.

If the file is handled manually you could use Stylus Studio XML Editor to locate and remove the offending characters.

Hope this helps
