Hi Fred

Which Stylus Studio version are you running?
Which XQuery processor?

Hope this helps

DataDirect XQuery makes use of a StAx parser, I would be surprised if it does something with the DTD declaration.

Why you need to ignore the DTD? which side effects you are trying to avoid?

Is this happening while running inside the XQuery editor or in your standalone Java application?

Hope this helps

Thanks Ivan. The incoming file references a DTD which is not available (and is not needed anyway). XQuery fails because it can't find the DTD. I'd just like to set an option ignore it.

Currently Stylus Studio does not expose any settings to ignore the DTD.

Could you please post a screenshot of the error and how shom me how the DTD is referenced in the DOCTYPE?

The only workaround is to open the XML document in the Stylus Studio XML Editor and remove the DOCTYPE.

Thanks!

This is the reference:
<!DOCTYPE cXML SYSTEM "http://xml.cxml.org/schemas/cXML/1.2.009/InvoiceDetail.dtd">

The error is really just a time-out. If the query processor can't reach DTD, either out on the internet or on an unavailable host, you get a time-out.
