Steve HendricksSubject: Siblings not repeating when mixed with descendant
Author: Steve Hendricks

Hi,
I've got a pipe delimited format like below. .... signifies repeating elements.

Product....
CategoryToProduct
ProductSwatch
ProductVariant....
ProductVariantPrice
Attribute....

The XSL loops thru the entire Product file. The issue is with ProductVariant. It stops looping thru ProductVariant after the match. It completes the ProductVariantPrice and it completes all Attributes as well. I suspect is has to do with the Select loop not knowing how to repeat so I'm thinking a for-each but have been unable to get the syntax correct. I've attached the TXT, XSL, and XSD. Thanks for the help.

Regards,

Steve

Thank you. No need to apologize for the delay. I didn't think there was one. It is running and appears to be doing the job. The performance though is very slow. It has a pretty big file to go thru to export to XML. Right now it has been running for about 15 minutes and I suspect it should have already been done. Is it possible that the logic put into the ProductVariant template is causing the delay?

Yes this approach is sub-optimal for large documents because makes use of the forward axis navigation.

Could you upload a sample of you input zipped, with similar size and characteristics of you production environment?

Thanks Ivan. I can send it up but I'll need to secure it. I can password protect it and send the pwd via an alternative route. Will that be okay?
