Andy JohnsonSubject: XML output's a URL in Browser Problem
Author: Andy Johnson

Hi,

Fairly new to XML, so i thought i would take a look at Stylus studio. I am having a problem creating clickable results. So for example my output would be a priceboard and then for the user to click the data on the priceboard and they are then redirected to a bespoke page for that output as such.

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<PriceBoard>
<column>
<Deal Name="locationa" Price="0.01">
</Deal>
<Deal Name="locationb" Price="0.02">
</Deal>
</column>
</PriceBoard>

Outputs as:

Locationa 0.01
locationb 0.02

I need both the location and price to be a URL and upon clicking it redirects to another webpage.

Could anybody give me some assistance please?

Hi Andy,

Converting XML to HTML is a very common task and you can find a large literature on the web.

For the scope of this post, we can simply show you a tiny XSLT transformation that takes your sample XML and generates a HTML page with two hyper-links for each deal; we hope it will be a source of inspiration
