Jason AxelSubject: Executing a pipeline sequence in .net
Author: Jason Axel
Date: 25 Oct 2011 03:21 PM
I am new to Stylus Studio. We have had it for awhile and are just starting to use it. Currenlty running 2007 XML Enterprise Suite, Release 2.

I have created a scenario where I convert a csv to xml. That xml file is then processed using xQuery to filter and organize it.

We are attempting to use this logic/pipeline in our dotnet environment and are note able. Any help would be appreciated.

ex.

csv:
HDR,val1,val3,val5
DTL,val2,val4,val6
DTL.val7,val8,val9

ConvertToXML

xml:
<Header>
<Value1>val1</Value1>
<Value3>val3</Value3>
<Value5>val5</Value5>
</Header>
<Detail>
<Value2>val2</Value2>
<Value4>val4</Value4>
<Value6>val6</Value6>
</Detail>
<Detail>
<Value7>val7</Value7>
<Value8>val8</Value8>
<Value9>val9</Value9>
</Detail>

XQuery:

<Header>
<Value1>val1</Value1>
<Value3>val3</Value3>
<Value5>val5</Value5>
<Detail>
<Value2>val2</Value2>
<Value4>val4</Value4>
<Value6>val6</Value6>
</Detail>
<Detail>
<Value7>val7</Value7>
<Value8>val8</Value8>
<Value9>val9</Value9>
</Detail>
</Header>

Ivan PedruzziSubject: Executing a pipeline sequence in .net

Hi Jason,

Support for C# was introduced in the 2008 release.

In order to run such pipeline you need an XQuery processor (Saxon for .NET) and the converter engine (DataDirect XML Converters for .NET)

Stylus Studio 2010 was the last release that bundled DataDirect XML Converters for .NET.

You have two options:

- Get Stylus Studio 2010.
- Call the Java pipeline component from .NET.

hope this helps
