Nadya MozgovayaSubject: “spell checker” and “well-formed checker” issue
Author: Nadya Mozgovaya

Hi.

I just installed evaluation version of Stylus Studio® 2011 XML Professional Suite Windows 2000/XP/Vista/Windows 7, English. I added xml document to the test project and malformed it in order to test “spell checker” and “well-formed checker” features.

The malformed portion of the xml document looks like following:

<Product>AncilleryServices_Product_1</Product>Bla-BlaBla>
<Block>AncilleryServices_Block_2</Block>

However, when I click on “Check well-formed” button the output is “The XML document is well-formed”. In addition, when I navigate to “Tools-> Check Spelling” menu, the message box appears “The spell checking operation is complete” without any indication of spelling errors. The XML document I am trying to verify is open and corresponding tab is active.

Am I doing something wrong being a brand new user?

Thank you.

The document you have posted is perfectly well formed, the character > is valid inside a mixed content.

The spell checker by default ignores capitalized words and mixed case, see Tools -> Options -> General -> Spell Checking

Hope this helps
Ivan
