Lucas HendersonSubject: Built-In XSLT Processor Missing from Stylus Studio 2011?
Author: Lucas Henderson

I recently upgraded to Stylus Studio 2011, build 1756a. I use XSLT scenarios often and use the built-in processor to debug my stylesheets. However, built-in is no longer in the dropdown list of available processors in the scenario settings. Has this feature been removed?

I know there are other processors that support debugging, but I am not able to get them to work properly with my code.

HI Lucas,

The built-in XSLT processor has been retired starting from version 2010.

if you share more details I may be able to help you transitioning to Saxon.

Thanks for the response.

That's frustrating. When my stylesheets are being used (as opposed to debugged), the processor actually being used is msxml, which runs differently than Saxon. Do you know of any processors that support debugging that function similarly to msxml?

The .NET based processors and MSXML should be able to run your code. Unfortunately Stylus Studio provides step by step debugging only for Saxon.

which of the msxml extensions are you using?
