Here's the code described:
declare namespace uuid = "ddtekjava:java.util.UUID";
declare function uuid:randomUUID() as ddtek:javaObject external;
declare function uuid:toString($uuid as ddtek:javaObject) as xs:string external;

{uuid:toString(uuid:randomUUID())}
</root>
