Brightman MkhwanaziSubject: Special characters in xml
Author: Brightman Mkhwanazi

I have an xml with special characters : Œœ€.
When the xml is encoded to UTF-8, the characters are converted to "?" character.
The system I am using automatically does the encoding, I cannot disable this functionality. I tried changing encoding to ISO-8859-1, again the characters were converted to unreadable characters.

I have attached the example xml.

I will appreciate your response.

Regards
Brightman

The document is well formed. I can see the characters in the Stylus Studio XML editor.

Are you sure that the system you have been using, automatically select the appropriate font capable to render such characters?
