I have been tasked to create a pretty static feed to upload a bunch of ads to a site. I tried converting Excel to xlm and it worked great for one site using comma delmited for nested types of data. Now I have a site that want every tag wrapped in another tag, and Excel shows the data in rows-not columns. I finally converted the file to .csv and used Stylus Studio to create my .conv file, which is wonderful...EXCEPT I cannot add tags to it in order to upload my big file and have it show up correctly.
I did upload my file then used the text file to change all my tags, but my file was 21,577 lines and by the time I got to line 5,872, I understood I could not finish this error free.
My question is, IF I cannot change my .conv file to add these tags, how can I convert my BIG file the way I need it to appear for the requirements of the ad company? I am sure the answer is queries, but I tried them and they produce output for the files but...I need the .conv to be changed.
