Bjorn KSubject: Multiple EDI messages within same file

I have received an EDI file with multiple EDI messages. The file contains more than one UNA-UNZ structure. Can that be handled by the converter in StylusStudio? Currently, it seems to only handle the first UNA-UNZ structure. Is this according to EDI standards?

The XML Converters should have no difficulty with multiple messages within a single data stream.

Which version of the XML Converters (or of Stylus Studio) are you using?

Would you kindly tell us which, if any, error message(s) you received?

Could you post an example of the document that is giving you trouble?

You are right - the converter does not seem to be the problem here. When I open the edi file with XML Converter, all the messages appear in the edi-xml (messages delimited by UNB and UNZ sections).

I believe my problem is related to the xslt transformation that maps the edi-xml to the native xml schema format. I guess my question is: How can the xslt produce two output xml documents from the one multiple edi-xml file?

There are no error messages.

If you use XSLT 2, you can use the xsl:result-document function to write a separate document for each UNB..UNZ section.

Thanks for your reply. Actually, I can take all the parts and map them into the same xml. So, a little bit of xslt programming should do the trick.
