Tabs are almost never used anymore because the expansion is ambiguous. It would be nice to configure the XML indenter to use spaces, and to configure just how much space to use per tab stop.

Hi Roedy,

You can cantrol the tab settings under

Tools->Options->Editor General->Tab Settings
