Mike MohrSubject: How do I prevent the previewer from displaying TXT in an HTML browser?
Author: Mike Mohr

I am using XSLT to transform some XML data into a TXT format. When the previewer is done processing it tries to display using IE, but realizes that the text is larger than normal. It gives the following warning:

"The content you are trying to display in Internet Explorer is relatively large compared to the usual size of documents IE can handle. If you continue this operation, you may have to wait a few minutes while Internet Explorer loads the document, and you could also experience an application hang or crash due to scalability issues with IE.
Are you sure you want to continue with this operation?"

If I choose No, then it simply returns no data.
If I choose Yes, then it displays my data as one long string wrapped and not useful to analyze.
However, if I then click the "text" button, it shows up in the previewer perfectly!

Is there a setting that would allow me to specify that the output is simply text and should be displayed as text instead of HTML?

Thanks,
Mike

Hi Mike,
the default view used to preview the stylesheet result is the tree (for XML results) or the browser. After the first execution, the current view is kept active.
