If Stylus Studio doesn't support the Mark Logic XQuery processor, which is the reason why I purchased the Enterprise Edition today. Can I get my full refund then? And how do I get my refund? Thankx

If you purchased it online, you just need to follow the proper instructions on the regnow website; if you purchased it elsewhere, just contact your reseller.

Just for our information, what made you think Stylus Studio supports the Mark Logic XQuery processor?

Well your website talks about support for marklogic xquery processor for the enterprise edition, which is why i bought it. So if it doesn't support it anymore, then you guys should remove all references to marklogic as being part of the available processors from your website. 'Cause that creates confusion & frustration on customers part.

Also i purchased the software through www.stylusstudio.com. Do i still need to go through regnow to get my refund?

Thanks for the links; those links are about v2007 of Stylus Studio; but I can see how that can be confusing. Thanks for pointing this out.

This is kind of ridiculous, you have some 30,000 results when searching for marklogic, including screenshots of the integration. This isn't confusing it's misleading. Why was this dropped?

Additionally Mark Logic still advertises integration.

We did support integration with Mark Logic in the past.
If you search our site, you'll notice that the hits are from
old SSDN posts and old archived mailing lists.

In order to support Mark Logic, in addition to an API, there
must be a compelling business case, and there was not sufficient
demand to continue support for the product.

If there were a compelling business case, or a commitment for
purchase, engineering would be glad to support integration.

There is an API for executing XQuery, XDBC and XCC is what Mark Logic supports. Additionally WebDAV can be configured.

I discovered <oXygen/>, supports eXist, DB2 (Pure XML), SQL Server, Postgres, Oracle, Documentum xDB (x-Hive), TigerLogic, MarkLogic, Berkley DBXML, and Tamino.

I guess providing customers with options isn't a valid business case, at least another company feels differently.

I and others have been asking and telling Stylus that they need to support integration with MarkLogic. I agree that they have been misleading as there is accessible information about support for MarkLogic in the past. I had a license for Stylus Studio before I needed to so any work with MarkLogic.

My guess is that there has been some kind of divorce between the 2 companies and they probably can't say much more about it other than to make statements like there isn't a business case. I have been using oXygen instead and fortunately was about to get a discounted upgrade as a previous Stylus user, but I'd be tempted to go back to Stylus if they supported MarkLogic.

If you ask me, it's pretty crazy that they don't support MarkLogic - it is one of the premiere publishing XML databases. I hope you can get your money back.
