Kai TischlerSubject: Stylus StudioŽ 2009 XML Enterprise Suite AND TigerLogic XDMS
Author: Kai Tischler
Date: 13 Mar 2009 06:58 PM
I currently roughly know Stylus StudioŽ 2008 XML Enterprise Suite; what I am particularly interested in is the seamless integration with (native) XML databases; in version 2008, there's (only) integration with TigerLogic XDMS.

So my questions for version 2009 are:
- Is TigerLogic XDMS still the only integrated XML database ? If yes, why ? Why no support for MarkLogic, eXist or WhatHaveYou ? It is my hope that You have chosen TigerLogic XDMS because it is a very good fit; so that we (potential) StylusStudio users can go with it without having to spend months on 'XML database evaluations' ...
- Do You strive to support the latest version of TigerLogic XDMS ?
- Has the StylusStudio support for the integrated TigerLogic XDMS been strengthened even more in version 2009 ? That is could the improved TigerLogic XDMS support be a reason to upgrade from version 2008 to version 2009 ?

I ask this question because I have not yet leveraged StylusStudio's TigerLogic XDMS support and therefore lack deeper knowledge thereof ... I have, however, read the following on Your website http://www.stylusstudio.com/tigerlogic.html:

"Stylus StudioŽ 2009 XML Enterprise Suite fully supports all TigerLogic XDMS XQuery extension functions, in addition to supporting the XQuery and Web service extensions described previously."

If this is version 2009 specific, You have wetted my mouth for it already :-) ...
