Dhivya JSubject: Not equality Function
Author: Dhivya J

Hi,

Below is my XML :

<Example>
<Test maths=100 physics=20>
<Test maths=80 physics=30>
<Test maths=100 physics=60>
</Example>

I need to get the count of elements with maths =100 or 80 and physics not equal to 20 or 30.
i.e) I should be getting the value for the above XML as 1

I tried the below :

Count(\Example\Test[(((@maths='100') or (@maths='80')) and
((@physics!='20' or (@physics!='30')))]

But the not equality functionality does'nt helps me .

Can any one help on this ?

Thanks,
Dhivya

Is this what you need?

<Example>
<Test maths="100" physics="20"/>
<Test maths="80" physics="30"/>
<Test maths="100" physics="60"/>
</Example>

<?xml version='1.0'?>
<xsl:stylesheet version="1.0" xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform">
<xsl:template match="/">
<xsl:value-of select="count(/Example/Test[
((@maths='100') or (@maths='80')) and
((@physics != '20') and (@physics !='30'))])"/>
</xsl:template>
</xsl:stylesheet>
