Sebastien VinchonSubject: No format-number functionsupport in an xQuery
Author: Sebastien Vinchon

I get an error when trying to use the xPath format-number function in an xQuery.

I am doing something wrong?

I need to display a value with leading zeros.

Does anybody know how to do that if the format-number function is actually not supported?

Many thanks in advance for any help.

format-number() is not defined in XQuery; it's an XSLT function.

This may help: http://www.xml-connection.com/2007/08/formatting-numbers-in-xquery-10.html

I would actually also like to know how to prevent the engine from displaying large numbers as (for instance) "9901234" instead of "9.901234E6".

That's easier: xs:integer(9.901234E6)
