Shafqat HabibSubject: How to get rid of xmlns="" attribute in copy-of select result
Author: Shafqat Habib
Date: 11 Mar 2008 02:44 PM
I am transforming an XML message to SOAP and getting xmlns="" in copy of select result.

Transform program

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<xsl:stylesheet xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform" version="1.0">
<xsl:template match="/PW_ACCOUNT_CF_SYNC_EFF">
<soap:Envelope xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"
<Account xmlns="http://www.whatever.com/webservices">
<TABLES><xsl:copy-of select="MsgData/Transaction/GL_ACCOUNT_TBL"/>

Transformed message

<?xml version="1.0"?>
<PW_ACCOUNT_CF_SYNC_EFF><soap:Envelope xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"><soap:Body><Account xmlns="http://www.whatever.com/webservices">
<document><TABLES><GL_ACCOUNT_TBL class="R" xmlns="">

How I can get rid of xmlns="" to not show in the transformed message

You'd need to put these elements and those under it in the same namespace:

I am new to XSLT, could you please tell me what change I've to make in transform program that all elements should be in one namespace?
