I understand that integration with MarkLogic has been discontinued at this time, but I'm wondering is it is still possible to connect to a MarkLogic database and to issue queries using the MarkLogic schema? If so, how do to go about doing that?

Unless MarkLogic provides a standard interface to do that (like, exposing the possibility to run an XQuery through an HTTP/WebDav URL), Stylus Studio doesn't provide any support for what you are asking for.
