Just a pedantic correction:

The updates download page (http://www.stylusstudio.com/update/2007_R2.html) shows the latest build as 894k, but the Release Notes page (http://www.stylusstudio.com/update/2007_R2_ReleaseNotes.html?ed=e) shows that it is already at Build 894m.

I have been away from base for 7 weeks and haven't checked the website (or used SS) in all that time.

It might be cached in some proxy server somewhere; here it
shows up as 894m.

I just checked it from my home computer, which shares none
of the infrastructure of the systems here, and uses a
different ISP as well, and I also see 894m there.

But thanks for your concern!

You're right - must have been my browser cache. It shows as Sept xx and 894m now.

Just a further couple of points you may be able to clarify for me, Tony -

1. When updating (eg, build 894i to 894m), is it recommended to uninstall the previous version first?
(I did so, but had to re-enter my serial # / activation code after installing the new build)

2. For an uninstall, I assume independently-created files within a folder are left in place - yes?
(If for example I were to create say a text file - with Notepad - in folder "C:\Program Files\Stylus Studio 2007 XML Enterprise Suite Release 2\doc\" then I hope that it would remain after the uninstall).

3. I'm not entirely sure about this, but I think that uninstalling a SS build (eg, 894i) appears to leave ide.chm in place in the \doc\ folder, but on installing a new build (eg, 894m), it is removed. However, it seems that a copy of that file (which I had named as "OLD_ide.chm") seems not to have been deleted.
(see my separate posting about ide.chm)

#1: no, it's recommended that you don't uninstall the version you are updating

#2: correct

#3: correct; updates remove oline documentation to give a chance to download update ones; copies are not removed
