Philip YoungSubject: Endless loop in upload of attachment
Author: Philip Young

When I attempted to upload a zip file as an attachment to a post in the technical forum I got a small window with a message "Uploading 0B to www.stylusstudio.com". The progress bar in this window just kept recycling. I eventually had to hit Cancel.

There's nothing wrong with the zip file; I just extracted it to a temp directory.

Yes, I just had the same problem. I found if I cancelled, it was actually attached at the bottom of my post. So I downloaded it from there, to verify that it was OK.
I'm using IE7. When I cancelled the endless loop upload cycle, it tossed me out of the message post to the parent section.

I am experiencing the same problem as described in this posting. If I cancel the upload after waiting some time and then reference the link to the upload at the bottom of the document, the error message indicates that the upload file was not found in the expected directory at the STYLUS web site.

What is the filename of the file you are trying to upload?
We've seen problems in the past with the firewall blocking
files with some extensions, or no extension.

The file I attempted to upload was a zip file with the normal .zip extension.
