Stylus Studio 2007 R2 attempts to change the internet settings for the current user when it starts up. Why does it do this? Is it necessary?

Below are the registry keys it attempts to change.

Dan

\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\Zones\0

Value: 2000

Data(32-bit number):
0x00000000 (0)

\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\Zones\3

Value: 2000

Data(32-bit number):
0x00000000 (0)

That change is necessary to enable "behaviors" in the Internet Explorer component hosted in Stylus Studio; "behaviors" are (were) used by the XSLT-based XML-to-HTML WYSIWYG component to let you control repeating blocks, lists, drop downs and more. Unfortunately Microsoft doesn't provide a more elegant/transient way to make that happen for an application.

Now, considering that the old WYSIWYG module has been discontinued, Stylus Studio 2007 rel 2 should avoid changing that registry entry (unless the user tried to re-enable the hidden old module); so, we are modifying the code to avoid doing that unless strictly necessary.
