Goetz HellerSubject: Let the user switch of message beeps
Author: Goetz Heller
Date: 17 May 2007 06:59 PM
While developing document structure definitions for FrameMaker, I'm processing FrameMaker-generated XML with XSL transformations in Stylus Studio which produce lots of files which I need to keep open in Stylus Studio. Each time then when I switch to FrameMaker and back to Stylus Studio, there appear lots of messages telling me that files have been changed outside the editor, each message being accompanied by a beep. This is really driving me crazy. There should be a setting in the user preferences in Stylus Studio to switch this behaviour off. Switching it off globally via the operating system is not appropriate since there are situations when a beep for a warning message really does make sense.

Kind regards,

Goetz
