I've been given the task to take one of our Vendors xml output from their system and transform it to be able to match our schema file. The application I am using has the ability to use a stylesheet before importing the data.
I need to know what the simplist way is to take an xml file and create the stylesheet to transform it and select certain fields, and map it to my schema.

I am using SS 2007.

Take a look at Mapper (either XQuery or XSLT based): http://www.stylusstudio.com/xquery_mapper.html

It seems to help you doing exactly what you are describing.
