John SaundersSubject: My XPATH Query Editor Suggestions
Author: John Saunders
Date: 13 May 2007 07:28 PM
1) There should be a way to limit the editor to only XPATH 1.0 constructs. This is useful if I'm trying to create a query for use in an XPATH 1.0 implementation.
2) The queries produced by "Copy XPATH Query to Clipboard" aren't the kind I'd be likely to create on my own (to be charitable). For instance, instead of:

/*[local-name()='test' and namespace-uri()='urn:testPass.test.webservices.trizetto.com']/*[local-name()='request' and namespace-uri()='urn:testPass.test.webservices.trizetto.com'][1]

I'd be more likely to use:

which is much easier to read, and gives the same result, assuming I have namespaces defined (as I do).
