O BarrettSubject: MySQL or Generic JDBC Data Support
Author: O Barrett

I'm told that native MySQL support for SS is still not available.

Is there generic JDBC support so, knowing the driver name, user, password, I can connect anyway with no problems?

If not, how would (or when could I) connect to MySQL?

Thanks in advance.

See http://www.stylusstudio.com/SSDN/default.asp?action=9&fid=23&read=5799

The work has been done and tested for months; it's a matter of getting
permission to ship it.

We sympathize. We will post as soon as we have an answer.

Out of curiosity, are you interested in support for the Commercial/Partner version of MySQL, or for the "public" ones?

November 07; if you are interested, we may be able to run a brief beta program starting early in September.
