Andreas StillerSubject: unable to create any xquery
Author: Andreas Stiller

I tried to create a xquery (my first try) by using

File -> New -> Xquery File

The editor opens and immediately a "Save as" dialog opens. I enter an unused name and i get 7 error popus with the message

syntax error, unexpected <end of file> [err:XPST0003]

It does not help to acknowledge all these popus, the save as dialog appears then again.

What is my error here, please ?

You will get that error if you create a new XQuery and try to execute it. Executing an empty XQuery will trigger the request to save the file and the error...

If you just enter "5+6" in the editor, you'll get something slightly better.

Thanks, this helped !

Nevertheless a funny behaviour. Cant Imagine, that the tester created their first xqueries like this, fighting all these popus.

I will save my first script "5+6" as very valuable template ...
