James AgnewSubject: Support for Berkeley DB XML 2.3.10
Author: James Agnew

Hello

I've recently upgraded to Stylus Studio 2007 Enterprise assuming (perhaps mistakenly) that Berkeley DB XML 2.3.10 would be supported, as it's been out since late 2006.

I receive the following error when attempting to open a Berkeley container:

===============
Processing BerkeleyDBXML.xml:
java.lang.RuntimeException: java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: com.sleepycat.db.EnvironmentConfig.getDataDirs()[Ljava/lang/String;
===============

The db.jar and dbxml.jar files are both explicitly defined in CLASSPATH, and the DLLs are in system32.

Does this mean that Berkeley DB XML 2.3.10 is noy yet supported, or have I got something setup incorrectly?

If the former, then I'm afraid we're going to have to consider moving to Oxygen 8.1 as Berkelely is fully supported there. If the latter, then I'd appreciate some guidance as to what I might be doing wrong.

Thanks, James

Hi James,
Stylus Studio 2007 supports DBXML 2.2.5, and there are no plans to update it to the latest version.

Alberto
