I can only get an xml display of the .xsl file. How do I get an html display of the dynamic content? This is really frustrating.

Add a PI like this at the beginning (after the XML PI) of the XML document you want to transform with your XSLT:
<?xml-stylesheet type="text/xsl" href="my.xsl"?>
...and then open the XML document in IE, not the XSLT.
