Dear XQuery fans:

W3C XQuery 1.0 is now a W3C Proposed Recommendation. That means that it has now passed many levels of technical review and is being sent to the W3C Advisory Committee for final endorsement.

The next step is to advance to final Recommendation status, which
will not occur until at least 31 December 2006. For more information about the XQuery family of specifications, visit:
