Sam JonesSubject: Referring elements from an imported document using XQuery
Author: Sam Jones

Hi all,

I need to process a WSDL document and create new elements in it. But the details I require to use in my XQuery are from a different WSDL document. The WSDL document that is supplied to the XQuery contains the <wsld:import location="somewhere" namespace="someNS"/> element that refers to the other document.

Is it possible to get the details of the elements I need from the import document using XQuery?

The case I am dealing with contains many WSDL documents where all the abstract types, messages are kept separately in WSDL documents from the concrete items such as bindings and ports. In my case I am given a concrete WSDL document in which I need to add elements to bindings. The the related messages that I need to refer are defined in a separate WSDL document. Hope this clarifies the case.

Regards,
Sam
