SS2007 does not seem to know how to handle if a data record in a .CSV file is empty. I use a tab(09) to separate fields. If a data record has 2 tabs together SS2007 does not correctly intrepret this as an empty field. As a result all fields after this are off by one.

Make sure the setting for 'collapse consecutive delimiters' is
set to 'no'.

Are you using Convert-to-XML, or are you using the
File|Open adapter:CSV?filename URL mechanism?

Find the property under Region Type called
"Collapse Consecutive Delimiters" and make
sure it is set to 'false'.

If that doesn't help, can you send a copy of
the .conv file and the source file to
stylus-field-report (at) progress.com, and we'll
take a look at it?
