Karl GuentherSubject: Auto Schema builder is not creating a valid schema (noNamespace)
Author: Karl Guenther
Date: 15 Sep 2006 03:17 PM
Here is a copy of the error I am getting:
Validating PolicySampleWGlobals.xsd...
file:///c:/Documents and Settings/276856.CORP/Desktop/StyleStudio Stuff/xsi.xsd:4,68: The {target namespace} of 'noNamespaceSchemaLocation' must not match 'http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance'.
file:///c:/Documents and Settings/276856.CORP/Desktop/StyleStudio Stuff/PolicySampleWGlobals.xsd:18,73: Could not find top level attribute: xsi:noNamespaceSchemaLocation

The XML document PolicySampleWGlobals.xsd is NOT valid (2 errors)
--------------------------

I am a novice in schema writing, so I don't know how to fix this. Here is what the converter made in my auto-created code:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<xs:schema xmlns:xs="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" elementFormDefault="qualified" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance">
<xs:import namespace="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" schemaLocation="xsi.xsd"/>

------------------------------------
I hope this gave you all of the info you need. I bought the "home" version a few days ago. I am trying to teach myself some content management fundamentals because there is a lot of this kind of work happening these days... but I don't know much about it, so I am early in the learning curve.

Hi Karl.

Could you please send the XML document you have used to infer the schema to stylus-field-report@progress.com?
