I'm trying to convert an XML document to an EDI document. If I use the default adapter settings then it works fine, which uses a "+" as the element separator. If I specify an "*" as the element separator then I receive the following error:

java.io.IOException: Unable to determine type of EDI file {close}

java.lang.RuntimeException: java.io.IOException: Unable to determine type of EDI file {close}

at com.stylusstudio.adapter.fs.AdapterFile.close(AdapterFile.java:570)

Caused by: java.io.IOException: Unable to determine type of EDI file {close}
