Author: matt su

I have a XML file here:

<root>
<billID>1122</billID>
</root>

and this is my XQuery codes:

for $bi in //billID/text()
return ">"

when it runs, it print ">" not ">", I know maybe ">" is one of the key words for XQuery, but how could I print it as a result?

Thanks

I just test my codes in Stylus Stdio, oh my god, it works fine, very well, it print ">"

I was using SQL Server 2005, it support XQuery and cause that trouble and I test other XML software, also cause the same trouble. Only this one works fine, cool

But I still have to return back to SQL Server 2005 anyways.... so sad..

Do u know how to do that in SQL 2005?

hello, everyone

I just got the answer, it's very eazy... oh

just replace the codes like this:

select @x.query('
for $bi in //billID/text()
return "IBM >>>>"
').value('text()[1]','varchar(100)')
