In the new release 3 version of Stylus Studio Enterprise, the GUI widget for defining collections in XQuery scenarios is not available anymore, although the documentation states otherwise.

Any hint?

Hi Paul,

For Release 3 we have greatly simplified the way to define collections.

1) Create a database connection in File Explorer
click View -> File Explorer
right click Relation DB -> New Server

2) Drag&drop the table/view you would like to query
from File Explorer into the XQuery editor.

Please have look to "Working with the XQuery collection() Function"
in the product documentation or online at
http://www.stylusstudio.com/docs/v2006R3/d_xquery32.html#wp598017

The updated video demonstrations will be online today or Monday.

Hope this helps

If I do this, the "Database type" dropdown does not list the
SequeLink server.
It does when I create a DB2XML file and create a scenario,
but I want this collections to be global, in order to use it in my XQuery

It is still on version 2 collections... any idea on when the video will be updated?

Thank you Ivan,
cheers

Hi, Geert. You might already be aware of this, but the videos that show Stylus Studio's simplified support for the collection() function have been posted on our website. You can find them here, under the heading "Relational Data Sources?":

http://www.stylusstudio.com/xml_video_list.html

Hope this helps.
