Hi,

Im having a couple of problems at Uni uploading my XML doc into eXist.
It just brings up a blank screen which indicates it is not well-formed.

However when i check for well-formedness in Stylus it passes. But i have noticed it has underlined a few words including "xml" as it expects "XML" could this be the reason why in eXist it will not upload the XML document?

Thanks

The feedback you get from the spelling checker is unrelated to information about well-formed-ness of the XML document; if Stylus Studio is telling you the document is well-formed, it is well formed.

We have no idea why eXist is not liking your document... could be missing references to DTDs/Schemas? Don't know. You may want to contact the eXist support channels for a better answer.

The problem is very frustrating as on eXist on my home machine the XML uploads fine and if I sign on as guest on the eXist website i can upload everything too. But when it comes to doing it at University it does not.

This is how ive linked to the schema, done automatically by Stylus i think:

<?xml version="1.0"?>
<?xml-stylesheet type="text/xsl" href="index.xsl"?>
<site xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:noNamespaceSchemaLocation="index.xsd">

Would any of that code have anything to do with it?
Thanks

Ah found errors:

could not parse file F:\Documents and Settings\My Documents\My Received Files\index.xml: org.xml.sax.SAXParseException: schema_reference.4: Failed to read schema document 'index.xsd', because 1) could not find the document; 2) the document could not be read; 3) the root element of the document is not <xsdchema>.

obviously i can fix the first two errors by uploading the XSD file first. But what about the third error?

Once again you are asking the wrong audience; but I would tend to guess that #1, #2, #3 are OR conditions.
