Subject:new to XQuery- "expected cardinality" Author:sean s Date:04 Apr 2006 08:22 AM
Hello everyone.
I'm pretty stuck with a language that is very new to me and would be grateful for some help.
I receive the following error message, and am not even sure which file it is referring to:
"The actual type of the value for parameter 2 does not match the sequence type declared in the signature of function: transform:transform($a as node?, $b as item, $c as node?) node?. Expected cardinality: exactly one, got 0."
This message emerges when I attempt to open the xql file.
The collection consists of a xql, xml, xsd, xslt and css file.

You XQuery (and question) seems to be specific to the eXist environment. This forum is for Stylus Studio support; you should redirect your question to the proper eXist support channels.
