Tim PennerSubject: Problem generating a simple DTD
Author: Tim Penner

I've uploaded a simple xml doc from which I want to generate a DTD. The doc is well formed. The resultant DTD has errors in it. I gotta be missing something here.

Tim,

You seem to have found a bug in Stylus Studio.
Thanks very much for bringing this to our attention.
We are investigating when we can implement a fix.

Thanks again.

Tim,
Stylus Studio uses a 3rd-party product "Trang" to generate external DTD declarations. The bug you have found is actually a bug in Trang.

When generating the DTD, if you select the option to build an internal DTD instead of an external DTD, you will bypass the bug and get a valid DTD.

We are currently investigating the possibility of implementing the same fix for external DTDs as well.

Good work around. I can just paste the internal code into an external file for now. Thanks!
