When using the SequeLink snap-in in mmc, after I change the Data Source Settings, when I try to save (or close) the configuration, I get the following errors:

Cannot open message resource.

(SequeLink Error: 3115)

Failed to process remote administration request.

(SequeLink Error: 3130)

Uninstalling and reinstalling the DataDirect socket and adding the correct DSN string during the install allows me to connect, so everything is working, but I'd like to know how to change the setting later on. Any help is appreciated.

Hi Steve,

Which OS are you running?
Do you have enough rights on the SequeLink directory?

See in the help file how to regigister the snap-in
"Adding the SequeLink Manager Snap-in to the MMC"
"c:\Program Files\DataDirect\slserver54\admin\mmcslx.chm"

To change DSN follow the steps described at
http://www.stylusstudio.com/configure_data_source.html

Thanks for the response. I'm running Windows XP (sp1), and I have full admin rights. I had been through the steps in the help file, and it still wasn't working, but I figured it out, and am posting this for anyone else that might need to know.

My login was set to not require a password, and evidently MMC doesn't allow configuration changes in that case. All I had to do was create a (Windows) password for my user, and it works.
