I am displaying data from an xsl file(this is converted from an xml) in a table format in the screen using java and tomcat .

Eg)<xsl:apply-templates select="/dir/request/attribute[@name='model']/model/VO/value"/>

I need this to be displayed in excel format instead of a table in screen.ie I need to convert xsl to excel.

If it was a jsp file I can change the content type (<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" Content-Type="application/vnd.ms-excel" charset="iso-8859-1" />) and hence can be displayed in excel window.

But I need to dispaly data from an xsl format to excel file.
How can I display it to an excel file? The above (changing content-type )doesn't work with xsl.

Please help me to do this asap.
