Jonathan McDonaldSubject: XSLT Debugging Variables Question
Author: Jonathan McDonald
Date: 04 Aug 2005 12:08 PM
Hi,
I am new to Stylus Studio, I normally use another leading XML IDE but I recently found it it didnt deliver debugging for Xalan XSLT Processing.

Anyhow my question is, while Debugging XSL "some" of the Variables Values display RTF-VALUE.
It seems to be displaying RTF-VALUE when I assign a variable a value of another value, see my quick example.

Very rough cheap and nasty XSL sample
<xsl:variable name="TYPE" select="'PERSON'"/>
<xsl:variable name="TYPE2">
<xsl:when test="1 = 1">
<xsl:value-of select="$TYPE-0A"/>
</xsl:when>
</xsl:variable>

Can someone tell me how to show what value is been assigned to the variable instead of just seeing RTF-VALUE?

Regards
Jonathan

This is a restriction in the XalanJ debugger proxy that doesn't allow to resolve result tree fragments.
