Paul CorriveauSubject: saxon:assign in 8.4

This statement
<saxon:assign name="localList" select="concat($localList, ',', $dt)"/>
works with the saxon xslt processor shipped with the 4.6 version of SS. It does not work with the 8.4 version. (I'm using a 30 day eval of SS 6.0, build 377i). Here's the error coming back from saxon:
java.lang.RuntimeException: net.sf.saxon.trans.StaticError: Unknown extension element

Without getting into a discussion about the merits/lack of for such an extension, I thought saxon:assign was still supported in 8.4?

Hi Paul,

Did you update the saxon prefix to reference to correct extension namespace?

xmlns:saxon="http://saxon.sf.net/"

See Saxon documenation at
http://www.saxonica.com/documentation/documentation.html

Hope this helps
